The Cambodian Economist Group (CEG) was established to build networks and
strengthen relationship, cooperation, and networking among all Cambodian
economists, researchers, teachers, students as well as among its
members; and to promote academic, political, economical, and social
discussion and engagement, which would bring about better understanding
and analysis in the context of Cambodian politics, economy, society, and the world.
The Cambodian Economist Group was founded in July 2010 by Angkeara Bong,
a Graduate from the Australian National University. He is pursuing his PhD at the Universiti Brunei Darussalam. He
was a former Lecturer at some universities in Cambodia, Government
Official, and served at various
International Development Organizations. In
addition to CEG, the 'Cambodian Development Network' blog was also
established, which intends to observe and reflect on various political,
economical, social, and development topics around the world.
Both the 'Cambodian Economist Group' and 'Cambodian Development Network'
would enhance public opinion, share knowledge, develop an academic
network and foster relationships among the Cambodian scholars,
educators, researchers, and students in Cambodia and throughout the
world.
